Ossolano Cheese

Ossolano d’Alpe, regarded as the ancestor of many famous cheeses such as Bettelmatt, is made on the high mountain pastures of the Ossola Valleys from July to September.

On the alp the cheese is still made in a completely traditional way, from a single milking of Bruna Alpina cows fed entirely on pasture.

It has a sweet intense taste with a herb like smell
